CONDITIONS OF WORK PLACEMENT
THE STUDENT WILL
·
Find out from you what are
the general rules and customs of your household, and
establish how you want your children to be cared for
·
Help
provide educational and fun activities for the children
·
Undertake
household tasks related to the children.
·
Keep
a daily written record of their work on placement
·
Take
the utmost care with your children and your property
The
student’s primary task is childcare, and household tasks
associated with the children. They are not in the home to
undertake household cleaning tasks.
THE ACADEMY WILL
·
Be available to the
placement family by phone at all times
·
Will
visit at least once during each placement
·
Will
visit at other times if requested by family or student
·
Will act immediately to
address any concerns
·
Will
support the parent and the student as required
THE STUDENT NEEDS THE
PLACEMENT PARENT TO
·
Tell the student about your
approach to childrearing, and behaviour management
·
Tell the student what works
best for each child, and detail any special needs and
interests
·
Give
detailed instructions in writing about what you
require of them
·
Give the student the
opportunity to complete all the tasks detailed on the
feedback form
·
Be
available to complete the family placement feedback form
with the student and a staff member at a home visit roughly
half-way through the placement
·
Assist
where possible with assessment tasks and sign-off any tasks
if they reach the required standard
·
Complete
the final report on the feedback form with the student
GENERAL CONDITIONS
·
Students are not permitted
to smack children
·
Students
are not permitted to drive for placement families under any
circumstances
·
The
student should not be left in sole charge of children.
·
Placement
parents must have no criminal convictions and if
requested must be prepared to undertake a police
conviction check
·
While
we endeavour to ensure that students take proper care, the
Ashton
Warner
Nanny
Academy
does not accept any liability for any action or inaction (or
the consequences of such action/inaction) by the student
while on placement.
