Amanda Shribman (BA Hons)
A professional educational manager who after studying at Manchester University achieved postgraduate qualifications in education and counselling and has twelve years experience teaching children and adults. Amanda is a mother/stepmother of three children. She is particularly supportive of young people
Sarah Robinson (MA Hons)
Has lots of teaching experience and is especially
supportive of students. Sarah teaches mostly on the
more academic Level 5 course.
Stephanie Brosnan B
Ed Dip Teach ece
Stephanie
studied in Otago, graduating with a Diploma of
Teaching in ECE and a Bachelor of Education degree.
She worked in ECE in
New Zealand
before moving to
London
for several years where she taught at Early
Childhood, Primary and Secondary level. She was also
involved in teaching literacy programmes to adults
with English as a second language.
Sue Collett (Dip ECE)
Sue is an experienced early childhood teacher, supervisor and nanny. She has taught at the Academy for the last seven years, is a great story teller and an inspiring teacher. Sue teaches infant care, early childhood education and health care.
Shona McRae
Shona is an enthusiastic young tutor
who teaches Human Development. She has eight years
teaching experience and joined the Academy in 2010.
She has a child aged one.
Steve Brown
Steve is manager and placement co-ordinator. He studied Human Development at Massey University, and worked in Playcentre during the education of his four children. He has many years of social work and general counselling experience.
Specialist Tutors
The Academy has a wide range of expert visiting tutors who lecture in specialist subject areas.
